Danny Hollingsworth was a professor in business for many years before tackling the challenges of writing fiction books. His first novel is The Unfortunate Lookalike, a riveting suspense story about the challenges of a Hispanic dad and son. Danny’s life has been filled with adventures such as backpacking in the southern Rocky Mountains, rafting in Tennessee, and camping in central Texas. His latest hobby is helping his son to make knives for his business, Native Texan Forge. Danny has three sons, located in Michigan, Mississippi, and North Carolina. Juan Lopez’s dad, Carlos Lopez, found himself in a feud between warring Mexican cartels. Unfortunately, Carlos did not know this. While parked beside a highway in route to Anáhuac, Mexico to visit friends, cartel scouts shot and killed Carlos Lopez. Juan was sad and very angry that his dad was murdered. Juan went to the location where his dad lost his life and waited to see what would happen. The same two cartel members tried to kill Juan; he reversed the attack and killed both cartel members. This angered the cartel leadership, who promptly hired a hitman to kill Juan Lopez. Completing the contract proved to be a huge challenge. However, the Evil Scorpion was able to complete the contract to the cartel’s satisfaction.

Juan Lopez grew up on a south Texas farm where his dad, Carlos, was a farm manager. Juan was what some people call an anchor baby, because he was born in the U.S. to undocumented parents. Juan is a single parent with one son named Luis. Juan and Luis try to make a life in the U.S., but it is hard. One of Juan’s many problems is that he looks almost identical to an armored car robber, which causes a prejudiced FBI agent and an aggressive IRS agent to pursue Juan exhaustively.
